Asclepias syriaca or common milkweed, is known to many for its tendency to attract the beautiful monarch butterfly, an insect of concern! A native to Illinois, these pink flowers have an amazing fragrance; and I think the flowers look like ballerina tutus! The seeds are attached to silky fibers and are easy to start in your yard! You will be certain to benefit from the summer scents and butterfly visits.... oh and the view of the plant itself! #aesthetics
Know the plants around you and save plants to save the planet!
